Serendipity/syncronicity

I have a poetry anthology on my desk to review, titled Not a Muse, The Inner Lives of Women, edited by Kate Rogers and Viki Holmes http://www.havenbooksonline.com/books/catalogue/not-a-muse. When I perused the contents the first name I saw was a poet I worked with often in my days editing The Green Tricycle, a now inactive online poetry and story journal. It was a lift to see that poet, Patricia Wellingham-Jones, and to see she is busy writing lovely poems. This little gift from the universe at the start of 2011 gave me two of her poems to read in the anthology. Serendipitous occurrences seem to happen when I quiet myself and open myself to new things. In this case the new thing was an unexpected treasure of a women's anthology. The quiet was the time and diligence I constructed to devote some time to reading.
